Detailed Counterfeit Currency Operation Revealed in Pattaya

PATTAYA:-- Police have recently made a statement to all businesses and residents of Pattaya to be aware of a highly effective and detailed counterfeit money ring operating in the area. Over the past few months increasing amounts of counterfeit 100, 500 and 1,000 baht notes are being handed in to police in a suspected large scale counterfeit operation.

At present police speculate that the increased numbers of counterfeit notes are the making of one highly efficient and detailed gang, specialising in the counterfeiting of the Bt500 bank note. Although various counterfeit 100 and 1,000 baht notes have also appeared the Bt500 bank note is the primary denomination being forged.
