2003/2004 Volvo S60 2.3T

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I would greatly appreciate any advice you may have on where (ie. specific websites) I can find information on the above car (eg. technical specifications, bhp, reviews)... This 2.3T model (not the T5) seems quite unique to Thailand and I cannot find any information on this variant anywhere on the web (eg. wikipedia, google, etc...).

Thanks!

Volvo has 3 engines inline5 pots called T5, 2,0/2,3/2,5

2,0 and 2,3 are the most common in S60 in most markets

Due to LOS tax system on engines above 2399cc and 220 hp, 2,5 was only used in AWD estate not made in LOS.

2,3 has approx 210 hp in LOS, and comes with an Aisin auto box. Engine can be chipped to 260 hp by most chips supplier, and even more by a swedish supplier approved by Volvo.

Today Volvo LOS focus only on 2,0 petrol (in S/V50 4 pot, in the others 5 pot turbo 180hp), D5 2400cc diesel and 2,5 flexfuel (85% ethanol)

Hi Kata,

Thanks for the information.... wonder why the 2.3T isn't covered in wikipedia though...

If it is indeed 210bhp, then it could be quite interesting, and I would be sure to get your advice again on where exactly to tune the car... :)

Can you think of any reasons for anybody to NOT be considering this particular car model though? I will most likely send the car to the Volvo dealership for a thorough servicing if I do get one.
