Not really, F16 is an old fighter by todays standards. And it sold more simply because the US political push, nothing else. Why would anyone want a fighter aircraft that needs 2 hours turn around, when Gripen can do it in 15 minutes max. -

As usual with these posts, vast generalisations are made without thinking of the details. "You're asking too much of people, the vast majority of the planet is utterly self-absorbed..." What survey performed or what data are you using to come to this conslusion. "...Conservative politicians have made it fashionable to be both disinterested in, and to deny science. " What nonsense, science is still going on, science is developing at a fast pace as it always has, for example there is a new 18 month study on some medication which cleans the plaque out of a human brain thus halting Alzheimer's and may even prevent it. Think of all of the vaccines developed which have save hundreds of millions of lives over the decades. It is religion which denies science. "The universe is truly amazing, cosmology is fascinating, astronomy is mind-blowing, and my heart goes out to anybody who doesn't appreciate those fields of study. " How do you know how many people are not interested in such subjects. I write my own iPhone apps which I sell for example, I am interested in many subjects and learn new things on a daily basis, but I do not try and ram them down peoples throats. Another thing I do not do is in a social situation, in a pub or restaurant for example is expect other people to have my interests as they will have their own, I do not bore them with rambling on about my interests and expect them to have the same interests as me. I think a lot of people do not have any social skills maybe due to Asperger's for example and do not know what to talk about in a social situation and so bore others with what they like and do not like. TiKTok and ArseBook are not new in principle, they have just allowed the gossipers and village idiots of the past to unite, they will not affect any part of science as the village idiot did not in the past, science and the study of it will continue no matter what these TikTockers say to each other. -

It is officially recognised that the dogs are diseased, flea and worm ridden, which causes them to become irritable and dangerous. Their waste is washed into drains and out to sea or the reservoirs. Tourists are chased off pavements onto the road in front of traffic, or packs of dogs run at people. Howls, barking and fights throughout the night and early mornings. Those feeding and watering the dogs are making the problem worse. The excuse for not desexing or culling these animals is that it goes against the Buddha teachings. Yet people who abandon the animals when moving house or when the animal is sick and vet bills cannot be paid, are causing the animal harm in much bigger anti Buddha ways. All dogs should be licensed, immunised, and tagged with identification and owners fined. And before that occurs, clean up the problem. Driving North it is common to see the dog road kill. Do not use Buddha as an excuse - the problem is out of control. Too many dog attacks occur. For instance, there are many aggressive dogs around Pratumnak, including around the new Fishermans Village, Police Station near Big Buddha, the bus parking area, and most side Soi. It is time for Pattaya City to once again deal with the problem as they had to do once before in Pratumnak. Urgently. Please. -
