June 23, 201015 yr People from these countries require a visa to visit Canada -- Countries/Territories requiring visas If you do require a visa, I think it may be a problem getting it in Thailand as they prefer to serve local nationalities. So, they can apply in Thailand.'Temporary Resident Visa' appears to be what they call a visit visa. See Temporary Resident for how to apply.

June 25, 201015 yr I don't think there is a minimum time, as long as one holds the appropriate entry clearance for the country where one is submitting the application. However, each country country has their own rules so one should check withe the embassy concerned.
