Jealous Husband Commits Murder-Suicide Near Pattaya

SRIRACHA: -- A middle-aged man has murdered his wife before committing suicide in Sriracha on Thursday. The couple, owners of a small private service station, had allegedly been seen arguing prior to the devastating incident.

Sriracha, the 24th of June 2010 [PDN]: On Thursday night, Sriracha Police Investigators were notified of a suspected murder-suicide at a local service station in Bangphra, Sriracha. Reporting the incident to Colonel Montri Rodprani (Sriracha Police Superintendent) a team of officers was duly dispatched to the incident to investigate.

At the scene, a single story building attached to a private service station, officers discovered the deceased bodies of two people, now known to be Mr. Nium Pitchanok [54] and his wife Miss Ramphai Pholsamak [42]. Both were lying on the floor suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Initial speculation was that the incident was the result of a murder-suicide.

Chon-Buri Forensic Investigators were called to the scene, performing several trajectory tests which confirmed that Mr. Pitchanok had indeed shot his wife in the back of the head before he himself committed suicide by shooting himself in the temple. Gunshot residue found on Mr. Pitchanok’s hand provided further confirmation of these findings.
