Just to let you know that my 2 lovely step Grandaughters have just collected their settlement visa.I have got great comfort from following other peoples waiting times .Thank you to those responsible for the lists in the past.----I still wonder why its all gone quiet! It is very quiet! 9 weeks today for us so not too much longer I hope! The list is a great help I agree, I did think about updating it in Tiggerfishs absence but can only just get my head around our waiting time let alone other peoples!

Congratuations Lonnie, I too took comfort from following peoples waiting times. My wife and daughter entered the UK on Saturday morning with me, there was a huge queue in the non-eu passport line, I asked to enter the empty EU line with my 'non-eu' passport family and was told 'of course I can', it was so much quicker.. the UK border official was very nice, asked if it was their first time of entry, asked about my work and to view the TB certificate, then granted access.. long wait finally over!

Previously there was mention of a meet up at the Wimbledon Wat for Loy Kratong, does anyone know if a forum was setup for this - thanks ?

This is torture for me now. I've been waiting over 9 weeks and my Fiancee is 23 weeks pregnant. If it goes the full 12 weeks that it seems to ne taking she will be borderline safe to fly.

Oh dear I do feel sorry for you.Did you do the application yourself ,or use an agent ? We used a uk solicitor ,who contacted embassy as we were waiting so long ,and the next day the Passports were ready.So maybe you could do the same and explain its for medical reasons,even if you did the application yourself ,I would give it a try.

I read somewhere that they will only deal with enquires under 12 weeks if it is on medical or compassionate grounds. So get calling! GOOD LUCK!

I Hope its not getting any easier at the 10 week point a week tomorrow is when its really possible to get that SMS, incidently my wife had a letter from the embassy confirming payment for the visa arrived today dated 22/9 so not sure what is that about, anybody got this as well and is there a pattern to how long you get the letter to decision maybe it means the file has been picked up? (we hope)

We have not recieved a 'confirmation of payment' letter from the embassy, but will let you know when and if we do.

Ours should just be shortly after yours.

What this does show though is that they don't actually spend a very long time reviewing a single application.

It's just the queue that makes the wait so long - not the actual work they have to do on each application.

My flight is at 1am in the morning ... and I'm still hoping that we might get that text telling us that the docs are ready ...

Chances of this happening seem very very low though as there are too many ahead of us in the queue.

I'm not giving up the hope though :-)

Of course by slowing things down achieves something - at the end of the year not so many people would have been approved distorting entry figures whilst still the same number of people get approved finally and

That follows, and pagan1's waiting time tells us that processing times haven't gotten any shorter yet.

After pagan1 gets a decision you and me should only have a 2 week wait though.

Encouraging to see a lot of 'successful' results in the list above - thats definately cheered me up.
