Friendly Stork caught in East Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- On Sunday Afternoon, local rescue workers were called to the Kow Mae Geow Market located East of Pattaya to assist in capturing a rare bird. The bird did not appear threatening in any way and was not intimidated by the many people who had gathered to see this rare bird. Eventually the bird was captured and was initially identified as an Openbill Stork which is commonly found here in Thailand. Around one of its legs was a band which suggests it may have escaped from a zoo or park.
