Khon Kaen Passport Office

Featured Replies

Hi, does anybody know if a temporary office or something similar has been set up after the demise of the original one?

Oh really, was there in late May to arrange a passport for the missus and was told it had burnt down. Have they repaired/rebuilt or did I get some "questionable" advice?

Two weeks ago friend of my wife was sent to Korat for a new passport.

Including one of mine.

KK passport office was still closed two weeks ago when I visited to get a passport for our daughter - as far as I could see the whole provincial govt offices were out of commission, and just a few soldiers guarding the place. I could see no no sign of any efforts to get the place operating again - it wasn't "burnt down" but it was clearly damaged, we could see the burned interior through the broken windows.

The soldiers told us we had to go to Korat or Udon Thani for a passport - and so we drove up to Udon, about 2 hours from KK compared to 3 for Korat.

Does anybody know if there is now a Thai passport office operational in KKC?
