25,000 foreign visitors expected

BANGKOK: -- The Export Promotion Department expects up to 25,000 visitors from Asean, Japan, China, Europe, the Middle East and the US at the Thailand Health and Beauty Show.

The event – running from August 31 to September 4 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) – is expected to help steer Thailand on its way to become a regional health and beauty hub in Asia, director-general Chantra Purnariksha said.

The first three days will be for business negotiations and the last two days will be for retail sales.

More than 500 international manufacturers, exporters and entrepreneurs in the industry are expected to take part in around 1,000 exhibition booths.

Over 70 per cent of the exhibition area has already been booked by exhibitors from Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Japan, China, Egypt, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and India.
