I always do mine in the afternoon. NEVER got it stamped the same day. ALWAYS need to come in to pick up next day. I reckon you're doing yours in the morning. -

I don't mean the COI issued by immigration. I mean a document where the officer (town-hall employee) relates coming to your address and finding you there, asking confirmation from neighbours etc. In German it's called "Wohnbestätigung". I was old in Thailand they will only do this at your request and at your cost if you have a yellow book where you live. -
