I am running the latest version of Ubuntu, installed last week. I just installed Gimpshop, which was pretty pain free, and can run it by typing 'gimp' in the terminal window. Is it possible to add it to the Applications-Graphics menu so I can open it that way? If so, how? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sure enough. Here's the Gnome way. If you're using KDE the process is essentially identical......
