Attempted robbery at Foreign Exchange Booth in Central Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, a gang of professional thieves attempted to steal money from a foreign exchange booth and 3 ATM Machines belonging to the Bangkok Bank in front of Soi 6/1 off Second Road in Central Pattaya. Alarms were activated by the intruders which prevented the theft of potentially millions of Baht. The alarm activation was initially investigated by Police who found no evidence of a disturbance and left the scene, without realizing the gang of thieves were in fact hiding inside the foreign exchange booth. It was only later in the morning when staff arrived at the booth when evidence of the attempted theft was found.

I have just watched this news report on the Thai National News and must correct our friends reporting from Pattaya One News:

The ATM's are located on the corner of Soi 6 and Beach Road in the Beach Road Café/Restaurant called 'Stone Oven'. They are not located at Soi 6/1 and Second Road as reported.

The alarm activation was initially investigated by Police who found no evidence of a disturbance and left the scene
