Connecting HDMI to non HDMI TV

Featured Replies

Going to post this here since it's the current Home Theater thread.

Was reading up on Pioneer Elite Blu Ray players & happened across this product.

Some of you might be interested.

For a different topic, a new thread is preferable.

check on line... maplins.co.uk is a good place to start, you would need an HDMI to DVI convertor, should be no more than 5 british pounds

or check out this link... hope it helps

The digitalised video part of the HDMI signal is the same as the DVI so only HDMI - DVI cable or an adapter will be required if the TV has a DVI input.

So you didn't really read my link did you?

I was discussing something for the home theater enthusiast.

It has some upscaling features & some audio options.

I have read the link, with a degree of incredulity.

How can a non-hdmi tv display at that kind of resolution?

It is like connecting an ancient computer monitor to the latest graphics card

and expecting hi-res images?
