I am coming to Thailand with a Iphone 4 locked to AT&T. Do any of you know where I can get it unlocked when I am in Bangkok or Pattaya?

I know it takes a micro sim card, not the regular size sim.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to MBK 3rd or 4th floor and you can get it unlocked

Or just cut the normal sim to the size of the micro sim.

but the iphone 4 really is straight forward to jailbreak. On your iphone (whilst on a good wifi connection) go to www.jailbreakme.com and swipe the slider.....that's it!

The unlocking is a little more complicated, but check out 100's of websites for a pictorial guide, I always use iclarified.com.

^^^ Important point here!! Any iPhones sold since 4.0.2 came out will probably be on 4.0.2 and impossible to jailbreak / unlock.

I have done the www.jailbreakme.com jailbreak and it's really as easy as can be: Slide to jailbreak. That's it. Very smooth, very nicely done. This is a far cry from some jailbreaks that have been out there... For unlocking it's not that hard either, install ultrasn0w via Cydia and off you go. But only for 4.0.1.

I had already went to jailbreakme.com and jailbroke the phone. From the cydia website I had also installed the software that lets me use the Iphone 4G as a WiFi hotspot. I was only running into some trouble for unlocking it. I found how to do that I am am pretty sure it is unlocked for use in Thailand.

Just as a side note, while in my search for an unlock I came across many who complained that after going to MBK to have their phones Unlocked, their phones were loaded with many useless apps and some were constantly connecting to the Internet and eating away at their data plan.

But still, if your in a pinch, they are the best game in town I would think.

Jailbreaking and unlocking is a 10min affair... follow instructions (all over Google) precisely and you are good to go.
