Whats the weather like at the moment and over this weekend in the Koh Samet/Rayong beach area.

Rain,rain rain?, or some dry periods likely?

Have just read the Thai met page, does not look good!

Up here in the North just heaps of rain, well it is that time of year.

Fancy picking up some squid/prawns etc, second point - prices still ok.

In Ban Phe opposite Samet it is currently overcast a little sunshine. Looking out to the west of samet seems like some heavy rain due including thunder and lightning. Probably come in later this afternoon. light eastly winds.

Bright sunshine in Koh Chang this morning - so it must be good in Samet too. (Somehow I dont think it will last.)

Update: clouds have rolled in, wind has picked up, a few rounds of thunder. I'd say rain by 3pm.

If you see a stocky middle aged bloke exercising two dogs, one is a husky on Mae Phim beach early in the morning that will be me!.

Been going to Mae Phim for several years now and usually stay at the Laem Maepim beach resort, handy for the beach and they allow dogs, Its 100 Baht extra I think.

It will be quiet this time of year, and some restaurants are probably closed down for the low season, should still be able to pick up some fish/squid & crabs for all the folk back up here.

Been the best day for a good few days today, still lots of blue sky down at Phala, and hot
