Considering that I hate all politicians with a passion, I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican. Politicians act like spoiled children and won't take responsibility for any of their actions. If they learned to work together for the betterment of everyone then I might change my opinion... but they don't. Everything they do is self serving first.

Apart from the glaring eyes and the rabid pacing he used, it was the amount of cliches he threw in the mix, 'come out swinging' 'hit the ground running'

Have to disagree Ian, spoilt children do grow up, often into politicians but often into something resembling a human being.

Politicians are merely specimens of homo sapiens, and not necessarily very good ones at that, who manage to persuade other specimens to vote them into nice cushy, well reimbursed jobs. The specimens who voted them in then spend the next four years slagging them off incessantly and complaining how they are a totally incompetant bunch of lying, thieving crooks before voting them back in again on the back of another batch of vacuous lies.

It's a tough life being a politician knowing that, at any one time, around 80% of the population would pay good money to see you swing by your neck at the end of a rope. Then you get to write your memoirs and that figure changes to 100%.
