SATTAHIP: -- A change of command has taken place at the Sattahip Navy Base. A Friday Morning parade involving all senior officers at the base was held to mark the transition whereby the former commander of the navy base, Vice Admiral Tirawat has handed over responsibility to Vice Admiral Chachawin. Vice Admiral Tirawat will soon receive a promotion to the rank of Admiral and he will take the role of Deputy Commander of Joint Chiefs of Staff.
