PATTAYA: -- Russian tourists injured as tour bus leaves the road ending up in a ditch as they begin a two day trip from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi Province.

Pattaya, 3rd of October 2010, [PDN] At approximately 6.00 am Police Lieutenant Colonel Itsaranuwat Jongaphichaikun a Banglamung Police Investigator, was notified of an accident that involved a tour bus carrying 42 Russian tourists that was leaving Pattaya for a two day trip to Kanchanaburi Province. The Officer and his team went to investigate along with medical staff from various hospitals that arrived at the scene in ambulances.

On their arrival at the incident, a purple and white 8 wheeled Nissan tour bus from the Jiraphaithoon Company was discovered in the ditch in the middle of the road. I drove past the accident this morning around 11am. Driver error I would reckon as the bus is not an old model and it was acually on a straight stretch about to join the motorway there. I reckon he was going to fast and understeered the bus around the bend and failed to correct it on the straight bit.

glad no body was killed though.
