The Ban Pong 'farang' Friday meeting coffee shop has been pulled down so we had to find another venue.Like to share and recommend a good restaurant in Ban Pong. It's the Chan Cha La and does excellents Thai food and has a small selection of western food. Choice of beef/chicken/pork steaks at 79 baht with chips and veg (or all 3 meats at 120). The seafood (from 16:00) is excellent and the all in seafood platter was hard for 3 of us to get through. One of the staff speaks pretty good English. but all the staff are really friendly and efficient.

It's on the 323 on the left just after the railway crossing (Bangkok-Kanchanaburi direction) opposite bar 35.
