We are planning on going to watch Real Madrid take on Thailand on the 29th. We have booked a hotel but it seems we can not get a ticket until we actually arrive in Bangkok. This seems a little strange to me. Surely it would be better if folk could book over the telephone or internet and then pick the tickets up latter. There is a chance I may get to Bangkok and find the match full.

Is anyone else going to this match and if so where are you getting your tickets?

Thanks,

Hi yes I am going mainly because the missus wants to see David Becham and co. I booked mine about a week ago on thaiticketmaster.com pretty good you can choose your seats, but it was pretty full in the decent seat section when i booked to hurry. Then you have to pick up your tickets about a hour before the show but it explains all on the website.

Good luck

I am not going, as it will be crap.

I have seen Man United, Beckham and co playing Thailand, or maybe it was BEC Tero. Beckham was only on for a few minutes and the game was terrible. They don't want to injure anyone.

Also saw Barcelona, a team much better than Real Madrid :o , and they got a pathetic 0-0 draw with Thailand. Rivaldo wasn't even there!

At the man U game, there were touts selling tickets for less than cost price. NO NEED to buy at ticket at these things. Heaps of touts.

I sold a heap of 600 baht tickets for 2000 baht! well before the game. The people I sold them to were not happy when the got the ground at Hua Mark and saw 2000 baht tickets going for 1000 baht.

Arsenal were crap too, as they were all out in Pat Pong the night before.

I and my friends are flying from Manila, Philippines to watch. We booked match tickets from Thaiticketmaster. This is probably the best chance we have to watch a football match, as we're not really a footballing nation. We hope it won't be "crap," but hey, if it turns out to be worse than the Tokyo Verdy match, we intend to have a good time just the same.

Well i think you better save up for the World Cup In Germany rather than the Rea lVs Thailand....There all the player will play as if their life depends on it

Thanks for your concern Shivek. But we're not really picky at the moment. I could use the break from work too. As for the World Cup, yeah, Tytus, that was our plan too. But I imagine airfares, hotels and match tickets would be priced sky high. So we're aiming low for now. One match, one club/team at a time...

all those friendly games are 100% crap..... there is nothing the European players hate more than doing such a promotional tour in Asia's heat and humidity..... no wonder they fill themselves up in Patpong if they only get a chance to :o I wonder how my countries Bayern Munich will perform in their Asian matches in the next few days..... they will be pissed-off same way, most probably.... on the other hand, Asia is the hugest market for soccer in the world in the very near future..... so all those Madrid's, ManU's, Arsenal's management is doing well to show up in the region..... my German clubs are too stupid to realize about their chances in Asia....

Why carry on going if they where all "crap"?

I went to the match last night, bought a couple of reasonable tickets off a tout for a grand a peice, took me 30 minutes to get in the stadium, there were no open doors, and in the end we didn't need the tickets as people just muscled their way in, a bit scary really, hundreds of people pushing and shoving. Inside we finally found our seats, watched the game and decided to leave 10 minutes bofore the final whistle to avoid the crowds. All exits we founds were barracaded and blocked, I asked a copper how to get out, and he pointed to a rope we had to climb through. This game was a disaster waiting to happen, but hey, I'm a stupid Farang, what do I know.

Another thing that got me going was I was 10 feet away from Taksin when he showed up in his motorcade. I walked past his Merc and noticed it is the S600 with the 6.0L engine V12, bit excesive I thought, especially when he's spouting on about saving fuel etc!!!!

Wow im glad i wasnt at the match ...People are begining to booked hotel rooms for the World Cup...There are lots of budget hotels around in Germany...But the onlt match that i wanna watch is the brazil group match and the final match....

Without watching at the brazillizn boys play my world cup trip would not be complete

Watched the match on TV and Real Madrid played fine in the first half but in the second half they shud have conceded altleast 2 goals they gave so many chances to Thai (there is a contract that very team who comes to Thailand must concede a goal from Thai) but their finishing was too bad and they missed every chance. Real played good in the first half but Ronaldo and Zidane are slow, Real need fast players and they'll be topclass. Zidane did a few tricks in the beginning then lost control of the ball (he's old). Beckham didnt even play well, Raul, Ronaldo played fine. Real got a few chances in second half from Guti but he missed all other than that they were giving all chances to Thai team who cud score only an egg. Overall the match was fine. :o

After being at the game last night I thought it was quite good, although like was said in a earlier post after the first half all the real stars Becham, Ronaldao, Zidane ect went off. What did concern me was the amount of people packed inside that stadium. There were people packed everywhere on the steps you couldn't move by the end, a accident waiting to happen. I also left 10 mins before the end, which wasn't benificial as there were still thousands outside at this point.

Just wondering being a gooner fan, when did they tour Thailand?

(obviously can't be that big a fan!)

Why the ###### did they start the match so early?? At 6pm on a Friday Ramkamhaeng Rd is a disaster zone. It was impossible for many people to arrive at the stadium on time. At half time when i arrived you still had to queue for ever to get into the ground. An 8pm kick off would have been sensible don't you think?

The times I went to the stadium, I went by Klong Saen Saeb boat from Pratunam - the only way to get there these days.
