French National Arrested for Possession of Illegal Substance

PATTAYA: -- Information received from undercover police led to the successful arrest of a foreigner caught buying and selling marihuana to tourist in Pattaya.

Pattaya, 16th October 2010 [PDN] Due to information received from an undercover team, at 2.00am, Pattaya Police Investigator Lieutenant Witsanu Chaisuwan and his team conducted a sting operation, purchasing marihuana from the suspect concerned with 2,000 baht outside a 7 Eleven store where he was known be selling the illegal substance to tourists.

The suspect, Mr. Amellal Mourad a French National, was reported to have arrived at the scene on a blue Honda Wave motorbike without registration plates which led to his immediate arrest before being questioned and searched.
