Tried Diablo2 if your into Hack n slash types?

(Old game)

I tried it, didn't really like it.

When it's H ' S we're talking about:

Dynasty Warriors

Samurai Warriors

Onimusha

Devil May Cry

God of War

Prince of Persia

and looking forward to Spartan:Total Warrior by the Total War guys, and Genji:Dawn of the Samurai, and also Onimusha 4.

However, I also want to get my hands on Shadow of the Colosses & Okami very awsome games. It would be easier for you to look up these last two for an explaintion, try here www.ign.com. They are so different that if I tried I'd just mess it up.

Currently working my way through GTA San Andreas.

Almost at the end of Half Life 2 (looks tha biz on my new graphics card).

Recently completed Far Cry and Star Wars Battlefront.

Up next is Doom 3 and X2: The Threat (a bit older but I've recently found it, I love the space sims ... Elite was the best game in the world!)

X2 the threat and trying to choose a new card so i can get to grips with a back log of games that my card at present can't quite manage.

I played Freelancer but found it nothing like elite, X2 the threat however is as close as it comes to elite as it is poss to be. Love it, X3 out soon to.

I cant get my version to work, it either tells me the wrong CD is inserted or asks for a CD key. How did you get yours to run? It would be worth beers if I could play this game!

Never tried freelancer. Currently downloading Freespace 2 which looks good but I really want my X2 working !

X2 is a space sim, on the lines of the old favourite Elite where you can trade, work, build stuff, battle, take on missions etc. Its open world so you really just make it up as you go along. Kinda like GTA but in space ... I only wish my version worked.

I'm grinding to a halt on GTA SA, some of the missions are getting tough and I havent even got to the dreaded planes yet.

Anyone played Freespace 2 ? Released in 1999 so its a bit of an oldie.

I've been out of the gamig loop for about a year or so, bu I really like the Black Isle stuff - the whole Fallout series nd the whole Baldur's Gate series.

Huge fan of both Thief and Deux Ex 1 - I'm jonesing to play the sequls but my graphics card doesn't support wither of 'em. Prolly better that i don' get hooked into 'em, though .... I played No One Lives Forver 1 - amusing. How was 2? and your take on Thief 3 and Deux Ex 2?

Check on the disc. There should be crack or Keygen. Go there and it will give you a code. Or there may be a crack somewhere on the disc. Have a look.

I actually played NOLF 2 first. I really enjoyed it. Thats why i decided to play 1. Really enjoyed both. The Thieif 3 was excellent but cant seem to find 1 or 2 in LOS. Deuex Ex is excellent. Was nearly finished it and something happened with my Pc and i had to reinstall windows. So lost all my game. Will play it again but not for a while. But a great game.IMHO

I got my Thief 1 from Panthip years ago and shortly afterwards got the Gold Edition with an extra 3 levels.

Thief 2 The Metal Age was on a compilation CD and <deleted> up my PC twice trying to unzip it.

Was thinking of getting the original (not a copy) Thief 3 but not sure if my PC can handle newer games. PC's about 7 years old.

MY PS2 is kaput and will cost 4k to fix so I'm waiting for PS3 to come out.

Now using the PS1 and playing the old(?) classics, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy 7, Odd World etc..

On the PS2 I was playing the Onimusha trilogy and Tenchu series.

I was beginning to really get into the stealth type games when it 'ceased to be'. :o

For a good driving game on the PS2 try 'Burn Out 3: Take Down'.

You get to drive around Phuket, Bangkok and Hong Kong. A nice refreshing change to driving through US or European scenery.

Slash gamers might like Shadow of Rome (action/adv). Plenty of decapitations and mutilating gladiators. The stealth element (not adv as it's been classed) of the game was ok but had the potential to have been much better.

tried freelancer and X2, but after some time both got boring.

I still dream from elite, any other games like that arround?

Recently I played:

Silent Hunter 3 (but too many bugs)

Far cry

Max Paine (spelling???) I loved it

Half Life 2

Doom3

Elite was the best game in the world!)

Did yo uever try a game called "Freelancer" ? Another older game but was a modern day take on Elite.

Pretty good, but not a touch on Elite.

Gazza

Agree Burn out 3 is cool; and especially the fact that the objective is to maximise the mayhem! After years of commuting in Bangkok, it is great to be able to arrive at traffic junctions and destroy a dozen tuk-tuks!

for the last years i've been adicted to online multiplayer versions of Wolfenstein saga (RTCW Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory) and also Quake III:Arena from the same company. Here in Thailand there are no servers for this classic games :o Hopefuly there's a W:ET server in macau with a low ping :D

Woohoo, finally got X2 working thanks to Boatabike ... :o

Was no key on the CD, it needed the correct patches which were unavailable from their website.

Never got into online gaming here as the shocking ADSL service I'm using struggles to open webpages.

Good driving game I found was Need for Speed 2 (found a copy on bittorrent).

I guess X2 and Freelancer was the closest you could get to Elite, they were working on a fourth one after Frontier and First Encounters but it never came to anything as far as I know.

I loved racing around Phuket then over what looks like the Rama 9 bridge and then into BKK. All the while doing 200 kph in a formula 1 race car and driving on the wrong side of the road to get a speed boost. :o

Can't remember the amount of times that I stopped in mid-race just to read the destination signs on the expressways or the blue soi signs, :D

MY laptop is about 2 years old and it is too old to use with the new games ... :o

NOt really, but I don't have the enwest graphics card, which is an absolute requirement, unfortunately. You need something that does pixel shading.
