Settled Bike Finance, What Happens Next?

Featured Replies

Guys,

Can anyone help?

I've just settled the finance on my Ninja with Ayudha auto-lease. I was just wondering what happens about getting the green book?

I was told weeks ago they would send me a transfer document. Is it possible to transfer the bike straight to its new owner (I've sold it!) or do I have to transfer the bike to me, then to the new owner?

Does anyone know if the insurance is transferable to the new owner?

Any help is appreciated,

Matt.

Ayudhya must transfer to the name in reg book, probably yours. They ususally do this within 10 days without the need to have bike inspected by DLT, and you can pick up book at their office.

Then you and new owner can do a transfer. Inspection needed, probably simplest way to do if your both in Kho Samui is to use a local agent to avoid trip to DLT Surat Thani.

New owner can use your insurance, but most insurance companies wont transfer it to new name. New owner should be aware if bike is wrecked/stolen inurance must pay to you.

NCB follows bike, not you, so you have no disadvantage of letting new owner use your insurance

Thanks for the information! Just waiting for the transfer forms to arrive from the finance company now.
