The People That Gave Us Nancy Pelosi...

wonder who has the bigger waistline of you two? :D

when i came to Thailand 6 years ago, I lost 10 kilos in about 3 months, and have kept it off since. I put it down to a change in diet and heat suppressing my appetite, and drinking more fluids. I basically gave up most western fast foods, only having it on occassionally. Some guys go the other way and put on weight here.

I lost weight there but only after I stopped drinking beer.

Now that the fruitcakes of San Francisco have returned Nancy Pelosi to our Congress and are still hammering out the ban on McDonald's Happy Meals TOYS, a new threat to humanity is being proposed for legislation. Read it and weep.

NEXT ON SAN FRANCISCO'S HIT LIST; CIRCUMCISION

By SAJID FAROOQ

Updated 6:30 AM PST, Fri, Nov 12, 2010

San Francisco residents aren't doing themselves any favors. But then it wouldn't be San Francisco if people didn't do stuff just because people thought we were crazy.

One city resident is proposing a ballot measure that would ban circumcision in the City, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

If passed in November 2011, the measure would change San Francisco's police code “to make it a misdemeanor to circumcise, excise, cut or mutilate the foreskin, testicle or penis of another person who has not attained the age of 18.”

The punishment for those who choose to cut away anyway would be up to a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison.

Anti-circumcision activist (?) Lloyd Schofield submitted the proposed measure to the Department of Elections.

But to actually get the measure on the November ballot, he will have to collect 7,168 signatures by April 26, 2011. In San Francisco, he might just be able to do it.

I can just see the right wingers gnashing their teeth over this if it ever gains any momentum (which I doubt it will).

On the one hand they would probably want to support it to take a dig at Muslims, yet on the other hand, they would want to label any supporters as anti Semitic.

In the US, most males are circumcised at birth to prevent disease (at least in the past) . No left or right or Christian or Jewish about it.
