Teenage Gang Foiled In Pattaya Snatch And Grab Attempt

PATTAYA: -- A German couple fell prey to a failed snatch and grab attack by a motorcycle gang of yah-bah addicts. The ringleader was caught after a police chase and confessed to a number of similar crimes.

Pattaya, 6 November 2010, [PDN]: a German national, Ms Helmut Stoll [49] was sitting near the Dolphin Roundabout with her husband when a three-man teenage gang of opportunist thieves swooped on them and attempted to wrest the woman’s gold necklace with a diamond pendant from around her neck. In the struggle which followed, the necklace broke and fell to the ground, at which point the gang made their escape up North Pattaya Road, empty handed.

I just wonder where the stolen jewelery from these type of crimes ends up? Re-packaged and sold on to other farangs, it's a vicious circle! Unfortunately it is not wise to wear flashy jewelery when out and about in Pattaya these days.

:huh:Sold to Thais or pawned inThai shops,then maybe sold to anybody Thai or Farang, hope the thieves get dealt with properly ,as they are often let out of the monkey house,very quickly,and go do the same thing again,a lot of them are addicted to drugs,so commit crime again,vicious circle has increased rapidly over the last 4 years or so.
