The turn of the page is an interesting phenomenon, isn't it. If you were trying to get a serious comment in about the preceding post then you sort of get cut off and your post loses some of its punch....but...on the other hand you get a good shot at redirecting the thread with your post at the top and late comers are likely to read your post first and then proceed down the page. I'm sure the truly Machiavellian understand the dynamics of the turn of the page completely and always use it to their advantage....but for me, like you, its too often just a moment of Doh!
