I would likely have gone with 2/3 sky & water and 1/3 of land. That would have opened up the scene and made a smoother transition between the different textures.

I would have used either a graduated filter to bring under expose the sky or applied one as a mask afterwards and under exposed the sky and probably raised the contrast. But thats me - i love using heavy contrast and dark, foreboding skies in images :)

im not as bothered by the 2/3 land 1/3 sky that cdnvic mentions, but it is of course personal prefs we're talking. It depends i suppose if you felt the foreground was your subject matter in the exposure?

Very nice picture, I especially like the 3 contrasts. Maybe a bit more contrast. :huh:
