I was over there today for some routine blood work. Just wanted to give them a thumbs up for be clean and organized. On my fist visit they gave me a card, after I filled out the forms, and it made the second visit a breeze. I've heard they have a top flight eye department, also. It's opposite side of town from RAM, so it might be something to consider if you crash your motorsai on the east side.

I will second that as i had to have a small operation on my leg.

I had a open would for 4 weeks.

And a third, tend to use them and Ram for any treatment myself or family have needed.

The wife gave birth to our second child at McCormick and all was fine.

I once had a serious leg infection, and I complained about it at Ram, but nothing happened...

I finally went to MCormick, which inspected my leg immediately and completely, I was hospitalized for a few days, with good food nearby, and excellent care at MCormick

But would you trust them to remove your gallbladder with keyhole surgery? I expect it would be cheaper than RAM.

The dental department is quite good also. I use them exclusively. The fact that they have been recently remodeled is a plus.

Another thumbs up for McCormick. We started taking our son there after the last rather steep rate hike at Sripat. We also got tired of the 2 hour+ wait at the pediatrician's clinic. Another relative was very sick and was treated there and they took good care of her as well.

I had my appendix removed at McCormick. They did an excellent job and they combined my Tricare standard insurance (retired army) with my Payap insurance to keep me from paying too much. My surgery cost 4000 baht.

I have been there for many other things as well and always get good service.

Compared to Chiang Mai Ram where you are a number to be exploited, McCormick Hospital is a good hospital people should consider when getting care.

Why not? It's basic gastrointestinal surgery these days.

I had mine removed 6 years ago by Dr. Sandhu Trichak at Sripat....in and out in 24 hours, no complications since.

And another thumbs up for the children's clinic there. We have used it quite a number of times. Our son was also admitted there once for a couple of days stay due to respiratory problems. No complaints whatsoever.

I had mine removed 6 years ago by Dr. Sandhu Trichak at Sripat....in and out in 24 hours, no complications since.

Good Lord! You make it sound as easy as a tooth extraction and, as you say ,maybe these days it is. I was quoted 80,000baht at RAM a few months ago and I've been dithering ever since. No insurance. But also I can't persuade myself to easily say goodbye to an organ which must surely serve an integral purpose. It seems a trifle rash to undo in a moment what its taken evolution millennia to create. Removing it must have consequences-probably adverse. Still your post, though encouraging , doesn't endorse having such an operation at McCormick - well, other than to say its basic.

no,no,no you missed the point - I asked them for 'A' specialism that I wanted (i.e. Urology, Surgery etc.)

It probably is as easy as tooth extraction to a recognized gastrointestinal surgeon.....all I can talk about is my personal experience of the surgery and it wasn't anywhere near the price Ram have quoted you.....but, that was 6 years ago. I suppose it all depends on the reason for surgery, my gall bladder was absolutely full of stones and although there seem to be wonderful cures out there (but not here) and after finding out there is a certain amount of risk involved, which may include the development of gallbladder cancer and gallbladder attacks, I elected for the recommended surgery......and it was a breeze!

No, my post doesn't endorse McCormick except to say it's basic, but if a person is suffering then I would have thought all alternatives and sharing of experiences might be helpful.

It's certainly 10% off medication. When i worked out the cost of my last two visits it would have saved me money; so i applied for the card
