Chelsea scraped though their opening game yesterday, but Wigan were far from the underdogs they were branded. They fought like soi dogs after a hamburger. Only a superb strike with almost the last kick of the game saved Chelsea's blushes. And what a goal it was. Fantastic from Crespo.

Arsenal struggled as well against ten man Newcastle, and although clearly the better side could not find the back of the net until a very dubious penalty desicion. Could this be a sign of a more even Premiership this year?

Yeah, but Charlton are always in the top five or six till about eight weeks before the end, then they nose dive. Maybe this is their year for a place in Europe.

Everyone wants to beat Chelsea so will be really up for it...like they were against Man U a few years ago! Wigan seemed very unlucky and right in injury time too. Hard to predict what teams are like after the first game...usually after about 3 or 4 games!

Always great to get a win to start with...Well done to West ham. Blackburn for relegation this season, anyone?

Nice to see Spurs (gotta be top 6 this season or i will be gutted) getting a win in tricky conditions down on the South Coast. By all accounts Spours were a bit lucky but for sure a few seasons ago and maybe even last season this would have been a game we Would have lost! Bring on the Chelsea!!

The thing with Wigan is that if your not up for it in your first game in the Premiership, then you shouldn't be playing. They did exceptionally well, though. How much depth have they? When injuries start to happen mid way through, that's when we'll be able to see how even the league will be. Chelsea have 2 class players fighting for every position. We'll see if that is a good thing (strenght in depth) or a bad thing (players unhappy being left out) as time goes on.

Yeah; shame it's not like the Thanet Darts League. They have Westcliff Tavern A & B in the top division :o
