colinthailand20005
I want to go to the casinos, across the border at Aranyapathet - Poipet. But I don't need a new visa, can I just deposit my passport at the Thai immigration, get a reciept then collect it on my return? or get stamped out then stamped back in with the same date that I already have? The Thais can do it can't see why we foreigners can't. I have a British passport. Thanks for you replies in advance Colin
mxyzptlk
You will have to exit Thailand to play in the casinos. You need to enter & exit Cambodia to be able to re-enter Thailand. You will need a tourist visa to enter Cambodia. When you re-enter Thailand, you will get a permission to stay stamp of 60 days for a valid tourist visa or 90 days for a valid Non O, or 15 days for visa exemption if you do not have a live visa. If you currently have a single entry Thailand visa, it will be dead when you exit. Edited December 8, 2010 by mxyzptlk

colinthailand20005
I have a non immigrant O multiple entry valid until July 2011, and my current entry allowance doesn't run out until Feburary. So really I don't want a Cambodian visa, I just want to go to the casino, then come back. Anybody out there just gone to the casino, and came back without a Cambodian visa? klauswernst198
Impossible to get border pass for foreigner since one of the requirement is Thai ID card + House registration. Border passes were created to allow Thai nationals to do one day visits to neighboring countries. Best you start forgetting about it. Visa cost is only 20 USD and takes 10 minutes. So if you have enough money to gamble you should be able to pay for the visa as well.
