Phuket Cable Tv & Internet

Featured Replies

I am thinking of changing my ISP from TOT to Phuket Cable but before I jump out of the frying pan is there any users have Phuket Cable Internet who can recommend this service? I called them and was told they have a 6meg service for about 550 baht per month. I have to sign a 1 year contract.

@RioMist -

All of the cable TV companies in Phuket that offer Internet service do so via CAT. The Phuket Internet speed reporting site has logged a few speeds from KPP Cable in Rawai, Rawai Cable, and PA Cable in Patong.

The reports I've received are that Rawai Cable and PA Cable are pretty good, but KPP Cable has problems with both the product and support.

None of them are outrageously fast with international downloads, but at B 600 or so per month, I wouldn't expect them to be blazing.

If you end up getting one of the cable ISPs, please drop me a line (details on the speed reporting site), and start posting your speeds. It'll help everybody in Phuket see how cable Internet is doing on the island.
