Non-imm 'o' Application Form

Featured Replies

I'm am completing my non-imm 'O' application form. There are spaces for 'Date of departure from UK' and 'Date of arrival in Thailand'. I am not exactly sure when these will be yet, but I want to apply for my visa now as I will be leaving at short notice. Does it matter if these dates are not exact? Many Thanks.

Makes little or no difference AFAIK.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your visa validity starts the day they issue it NOT the day you enter Thailand and you must use it (first use) within 3 months of issue. Don't apply too early.

Visa usually takes about a week end to end (from Hull or Cardiff).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Very good point.. I just lost nearly a month off my one year as I assumed they would use the 'leaving for Thailand' etc dates...

FYI Multiple entry non-imm O was available in 10mins in Birmingham. The cost was £95 instead of £90 and we had to go in there in person but very quick service. Didn't even have time to go out for a coffee while we waited! :o
