I bought a used car in Bangkok and live in Jomtien. I have the blue book and supporting documentation for the purchase.

I was told that I need to go to the transport office in Bangkok rather than the one down here to complete the paperwork. Is that true? Can anyone confirm if that is true?

Thanks.

A friend of mine who live's up north sold his car to a peep's in Pattaya, and he didn't have a problem changing the licence plate/book ECT. But when I sold one of my car's to a mate who lived in Phetchabun they wouldn't do it, he had to come back to my local office. So it might be worth a try at your Pattaya office. TIT.
