Acer Laptop 4741G

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I recently bought an Acer laptop 4641G and I found that whatever I do to the volume settings or the Realtek audio manager I can not get a decent volume level. The sound is very good when I use a headset, so I thought maybe the hardware is not up to much. Do any other Acer users have the same problem?

Cheers, Rick

Yeah me too.

My machine is 3 yrs old and I have this problem

Best solution is to get some inexpensive speakers that

plug in to the headset jack.

Another thing that helps if you are playing in VLC Player

is to click on the Equalizer icon on the bottom.

It is not always there so you may need to click the

upper right middle Windows icon to make the window smaller

and it will come up. After clicking the equalizer, you can

raise all the switches and it will make the output a bit louder.

I just always use headphone plugs.

If I wanted or needed to play music for the room I'd have

to get the speakers.

It is annoying I agree.

I also have an Acer laptop and have to agree the sound is very poor and have resorted to putting the sound out via two midi Sony speakers.

Thanks for the information guys. I am glad to hear that this seems to be a common problem and not just me missing something. I use VLC player most of the time, but never thought about the equalizer. I will try what you suggested Paul.

Cheers, Rick
