August 23, 200520 yr Very painless, I flew Sunday Night, lodged application Monday Morning, saw the sights in the arvo, had a few drinks in the evening, checked out next morning, had lunch, picked up Visa in the arvo, straight to the Airport, back in Bangkok late afternoon....doddle
August 23, 200520 yr They accept applications in the morning, and distribute visas after 2:30 the next afternoon. They open at either 9 or 9:30. I asked about a multiple entry tourist visa, but the clerk told me they will only give single entry ones there.
August 23, 200520 yr Author Thank you guys for the feedback. Anybody did apply for a no-immigrant visa from there? Cheers, MO
August 23, 200520 yr Yeah its easy there...very convinient location.... You can stay over at the Hilton Hotel just opposite the embassy
August 24, 200520 yr Note - For non-immigrant visas, the Thai Embassy in Singapore only issues single-entry 90 day visas (as already pointed out by one poster) Steve Indo-Siam
August 24, 200520 yr Would that mean you have to reapply for a B visa every 90 days ? What happens when you get a work visa ?
August 24, 200520 yr I asked about a multiple entry tourist visa, but the clerk told me they will only give single entry ones there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They told me they only issue single entry tourist visas after passport shows owner has been out of Thailand 2 months or more. So no need to go there for back to back single entry tourist visas.
August 25, 200520 yr Would that mean you have to reapply for a B visa every 90 days ? What happens when you get a work visa ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you mean 'work permit' it expires when your visa stay expires. So if you meet conditions you go to immigration and extend your stay for one year and then get work permit to match it. The idea being that if you have normal legal work in Thailand all you need is a single entry B visa and after that you just extend your stay at immigration office on a yearly basis.

August 26, 200520 yr Note - For non-immigrant visas, the Thai Embassy in Singapore only issues single-entry 90 day visas (as already pointed out by one poster)Steve Indo-Siam <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It may be a recent change, as they were still issuing non-immigrant visas with multiple entry beginning of the year.
