Twinrix Vaccination.......

Featured Replies

I'm taking the 'twinrix' series of shots for hepatitis A & B. This is a series of 3 shots and I've taken the first 2 here in the USA. This is a life time vaccination.

My problem is this; I'm scheduled to take the final shot around November 21 but I'll most likely be in Thailand then. Does anyone know if this vaccine is available in Thailand? :o

I'd email Bumrungrad and ask them.

Maybe check with your Doctor, I understood that the first two shots pretty much provide an effective vaccination and that the last shot is a 'kicker'. Also there are both minimum and maximum time windows between the first and second, second and third and first and third shots. Perhaps you can squeeze that last one in before you depart?

I had the same issue 5 years ago, just go a reasonably good hospital, show them the documents (if you have those) Tell hem what it is for and they will give you an injection to complete. But...you need to refuel anyway every five years, in my opinion there is no lifelong solution :D
