Air Conditioning Technician falls 9 floors to his death at Central Pattaya Condominium

PATTAYA: -- An air-conditioning technician fell 9 floors to his death from a Condominium in Central Pattaya. Police and rescue workers were called to the TW Condominium on Pattaya Third Road and at the front of the condo on the street was the body of Khun Chanatip aged 19. A ladder had also fallen from the balcony of the apartment and was lying close to him on the street. Presume his employers provided him with the proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and instructed him in it's proper use, a good harness strapped to the balcony railings would have saved his life.

I do believe here in the UK we go overboard but for someone working on a balcony at a hight above the floor level a harness should have been provided and worn.

Very sad. It's always tragic to see someone so young die so needlessly.
