Appreciate any feedback on this type of entertainment in BKK. I saw a place on Soi 18 (I think) off Sukhumvit Road, but it was closed and looked rather shabby.

Yeah, I am interested also. I know there is a Spanish restaurant called Rioja on Sukhumvit next to the Intercontinental Hotel at Rajadamri, but I have never been in there. The closest I found is California Mex places, like Los Cobos in Asoke. But that is just the occasional salsa type music. No dancing.

For a couple of months Viva&Aviv on Thonglor had cumbia band La Sabrosa Sabrosura every Wed and Fri but the place just closed down last week after police hassles. La Sabrosa Sabrosura is playing in Samui and Phuket right now but will be back in Bkk next week for a final 10-day stay before they head back to Mexico City. Rare chance to dance cumbia in Bangkok, rarer still to hear it played live.

I heard that The Nest on Soi 11 has a Latin music night. Believe it is every Wed night after 9 PM.
