Congratulation Chiang Mai

I certainly see the OP's post as merely calling attention to a bad situation. His use of sarcasm to do so is no better or worse than others' tolerance (or not) to that sarcasm. In the end, it seems to be that there always has to be some argument here about something (or everything).

The objections to the post may be well intended, but miss his point IMO.

Sorry to disrupt the ladies' tea gathering, but the latest figures are in.

Provinces with the highest number of accidents were Phitsanulok and Chiang Rai in the North. The province with the highest number of deaths, 13, was Lop Buri.

Priceless comment:

Mr Suthep, director of the road safety centre, said the road accident prevention and reduction campaign resulted in a slight drop in the number of accidents from 3,534 last year to 3,497 this year.

Awesome Mr. Suthep. Yay.

( The number of people killed went up from 347 to 358. )
