Full Marks To Rimping

Featured Replies

I had bought a pack of frozen smoked haddock 822 baht...first time I had seen it there.

On opening I found the fillets full of freezer burn and even thawed still hard....and after cooking still tough...'smoked cardboard'......a great dissapointment.

I complained via email to them and they immeadiatly replied with apologies and a full refund.

Cant say fairer than that...so full marks to them...especialy when I read the 'couldnt care less' attitude of many places here from other posters

Yep, there are some companies that take customer service seriously in Thailand.

Thanks for sharing, good to know.

Rimping recently set up an in-house laboratory to test organically grown produce for purity which is absolutely commendable. Their prices may be higher than competitors but the quality of produce, service is excellent. It's also blissfully free of loud announcements. Tesco Lotus et al could learn a few things here.

Personally I've been delighted to hear trad-jazz, when visiting Rimping Mee-Chok-Plaza, recently ! :)

Now if only they can sort out the smelly/dirty loos, and the terrible entrance-queues/parking-problems whenever the street-market is on, I would be a very happy bunny ! B)

We've been through this one here on the forum already.

Sadly for we customers - and for Rimping at Meechock Plaza (junction of central ring road and Mae Jo road) they are simply tenants.

They have no control over the tiny, unsatisfactory toilets OR that awful Monday and Tuesday market. All complaints (100% valid in my view) must be directed to Meechok's so-called 'management' at their office in the corner, under the (newly re-instated) clock.

Oh yes and while we are on this location, don't use the tiny Post Office in the internal corridor alongside Rimping. Many complaints (again, here on tv) about theft.
