Hello,

I hope this is posted in the right section, sorry if it isnt.

I have started gathering the evidence I require to the thai girlfriend to apply for a fiancee visa.

From reading through other posts it looks like enough evidence would be a lever arch file full of stuff.

As I will be having to use original documents what would be the safest way to send the "evidence" to the girlfriend in bangkok.

And last, are these the following steps?

1 Fiancees visa (6 months long)

2 FLR (2years long)

3 ILR (whoopee she made it)

Do I have to pay £260 for each one?? I couldnt find out prices from the UK visa's site appart from the fiancess's (maybe i'm too stupid to look in the right place for the others)

Lots of love hugs and kisses to anybody that can help.

Chang

PS

How about having a sticky about the question that are asked at the embassy/interview, pretty sure it might stop the same questions asked over and over again. Just like mine i think.

Chang,

If you're worried about your documentation going astray, you may wish to consider having the paperwork notarised as being genuine and that way you get to keep hold of the originals.

Your chronology of the immigration process is correct. The cost is:-

£260.00 for the visa application

£335.00/£500.00 (postal/in person) for the 2-year application

£335.00/£500.00 for the indefinite leave application

Although more or less the same questions are asked of most applicants, the visa officer can ask any question which is pertinent to the application. On that basis, it is not possible to list every single question which may be asked, as each application is different, and, also, experience has shown that a lot of people don't bother to read pinned topics and post their query regardless. For those reasons we don't have a sticky.

Cheers,

Scouse.
