Hello, I thought I would post this incase it was of any help to anyone.

I done a visa run to Aranyepethet (spelling) on friday. After reading this forum thought I would have a nightmare, but nothing of the sort. Their was a fair que but this was for Thai nationals only. All westeners were fast tracked, I got there at 8-30 and was on my way by 9-15. I would say, there was a huge amount of Phillipinos there doing the visa run also. All in all I dont think it was any more busy than I have ever seen it in the 5 years I have been doing the visa runs.

Bang.......

I did aranyprathet/popiet crossing last monday -23/8. 11.30 bus from mo chit (193B) arrived at aranyap't at 4.40pm. got hassled to pay 400B by several cambodians in uniforms but explained i was poor and declined their 'services'. one cheeky sod then asked for 50B tip, laughable!

i was in and out of cambodia in 30 mins, but then queue at thailand re-entry, non-thai passport was about 25mins. i was back into town and on 6pm bus, got to bkk at 10.30pm.

NOTE; THIS BORDER CLOSES AT 8PM NOW!! it used to be 5pm a few yrs ago.
