Tapes Dvd

Featured Replies

I have a set of tapes of Steam Trains, where can I get them copied to DVD in Chiang Mai?

From nightbazar take the left side soi that passes the Kalare market, at the end left side the Fuji shop they do this.

There is a shop in the fourth floor of Panthip Plaza that does it also.

There are a few shops in the computer plaza.

Another way:

If you still have your old VHS video player/recorder in working order and you know someone with a DVD player/recorder, you can plug in a special cable between the 2 and record on DVD directly from your VHS player.

One problem is that when transferring from a VHS analog tape onto a digital DVD disk, there is quite a loss in quality.

BJuice, Can you expand a little on the 'special cable' that you mention.... where can it be purchased and approx how much.

Thanks

Gonzo

I've had those transferred to DVD at Panthip Plaza. Ground floor near the back. They have a big sign saying "transfer video to DVD" or something like that. They also transfer to VCD. It's cheaper but lower quality

It`s all here:

Decide which cable fits your model of VHS recorder.

Then visit the computer Plaza, or powerbuy in Robinsons. You can purchase them there.

funny that ive got a great collection of steam train dvd's, brought back from the uk, ahhhh happy memories when i was young.

I was referring to Panthip in CM since this is the CM Forum. It's on the night bazaar street a few blocks south of the McDonald's, but on the other side of the street.

Does anyone remember if the same shops can also do cassette to CD? I have a bunch of stuff still on tapes that I cannot find anywhere on CDs. Thanks.
