A senior Muslim politician has blamed unhappy arranged marriages to cousins for leading some Pakistani men to prey on vulnerable young white girls to fulfil their sexual needs.

Lord Ahmed of Rotherham, Britain’s first Muslim peer, is the first politician to make a link between first-cousin marriages and sex crimes by Pakistani men.

He has spoken out after a spate of high-profile court cases where groups of Asian men have been sentenced for grooming white girls as young as 12 in Derby, Blackburn and Lord Ahmed’s home town of Rotherham.

Some time back there was a thread concerning Switzerland's plan to outlaw incestuous marriages.

I don't know that men preying on women is due to any one specific factor and I doubt very much that it is related to whom they are married.

If it is incestuous, then many, many of the royal families throughout Europe are guilty.

That's coz Switzerland is full of village idiots with blinkers on.

there was a program on Uk tv a while back about medical professionals & a few imams from the Muslim community around Bradford trying to discourage first cousin marriages due to the high volume of birth defects within the Muslim community. Some of these kids were being born with terrible medical issues directly related to close genetic link of the parents & the thing that got me most was a lot of these couples, after having one severly disabled or mentally challenged child & being advised it was due to their genetics, just went ahead & had even more kids with the same or similar problems. Totally irresponsible imo, esp as majority of them were being supported by the state.

What is your idea of corned beef? In UK it is a mush that comes out of a Fray Bentos tin, but in the States (NY anyway) corned beef is the beautiful heavy slices off the salt-beef counter in your local delicatessen.

I think that you are talking about Irish corn beef which is not the same.
