PATTAYA: -- Continuing their current policy of mass checks for drugs, underage sex workers and other illegal activities, police troops closed the go-go gay and transvestite street off Beach Rd. Pattaya, finding many male and females intoxicated or possessing drugs.

Further South Pattaya Bars checked as part of ongoing Police crackdown

PATTAYA: -- A major check on all entertainment venues situated in Soi Pattayaland 13/4 off Pattaya Beach, took place on Thursday Night. Random urine tests on bar employees took place and license checks were made by district officials. A total of 18 venues were checked and 8 employees were arrested after they failed the urine tests confirming recent ingestion of methamphetamine.

Just wondered what happens if your presented with a beaker and you just can't go? Also what would happen if someone hd eaten a load of beetroot? It seems like the police have targets they need to hit. Bit like here in blighty the police will do someone for speeding and issue a fixed penalty tea tin notice, its logged as a crime and case solved. Makes them look good. It would be nice to think that it was all being done to clean up pattaya but somehow I doubt it
