Police Detective shot with his own gun by suspected drug dealer in Laem Chabang

LAEM CHABANG: -- A Police Officer was badly injured after he was shot with his own gun by a suspected drug dealer in Laem Chabang on Wednesday Night. Police Major Atapon, the head of their special investigations unit was in the process of escorting the suspect to his home to search for drugs. The suspect was handcuffed but his hands were bound in front of him and not behind his back which allows for greater freedom of arm movement. It was for this reason the suspect chose his moment and managed to grab the gun on his belt.

I've often wondered about lax police procedure here wanting to save the face of criminal suspects and not taking due precautions to protect yourself... Hope the detective lives and learns a costly lesson for any possible future arrests he or his colleagues make..

Suspect caught following shooting of Police Officer in Laem Chabang

LAEM CHABANG: -- The suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of an undercover Police Officer in Laem Chabang has now been caught. Police Major General Tanaert, the Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police led a press conference at Sriracha Police Station late on Friday Night to announce the arrest of Khun Watchara aged 22 at the Boorawat Village in Sriracha
