Recommended Posts

I know there has been many topics on this issue but im still confused...

which UK bank account would be the best overall to open here in the UK so as to use in thailand.

The cheapest for transfering money? charges? best interest rate?

i have heard HSBC is good, but my wifes sister tells me that they need 100k baht just to open an account???

also everyone raves about nationwide...

So need some clarification.....WHICH IS BEST OVERALL?

Get a Nationwide Building Society "Flexaccount" - no ATM charges on money withdrawn in Thailand. 20 pounds SWIFT transfer charge - useful for large amounts (e.g. 5,000).

if u read it correctly it was 100k...meaning 100,000 baht thats for u numbskull expatinasia...

cheers for the advice guys...

....I may be wrong Belfast but Expatinasia may have misunderstood your term 100k, to a Brit we take that as 100,000 but a Septic may not know that. A Yanky would understand 100M as 100,000...... but anyway initials mean different amounts to different folks.
