walking through MBK all the stalls selling games seemed to be playing a football game on their monitors which had excellent grahics and now i've gone and forgotten what it was called anybody know?

Its probably Winning Eleven which is also known as Pro Evolution Soccer outside of Asia. It could also be the FIFA game but that is not as popular as Winning Eleven.

Yes, those are the main soccer games. In PC, FIFA is the best-selling. While in PS2 and XBOX, Winning Eleven and Pro Evolution sell more. Pro Evolution 5 Demo for the PC is out though.
