Building With Pipes: Kee Klamp Fittings?

Recommended Posts

Where can one get Kee Klamp parts in Thailand? Or similar?

I am planning to build some furniture from metal pipe joined with Kee Klamp brand pipe fittings.

The Kee Klamp system uses cast metal components fastened by hex nuts, so that you can construct projects from metal pipes without welding. Very flexible, convenient and cheap for DIY projects like shelves, safety railing, furniture, scaffolds.

(See image attached)

However, there does not seem to be a registered Kee Klamp dealer here (it's a UK brand).

Any secondary supplier? Any equivalent local products?

Sorry, haven't seen anything like it here... maybe use lashed bamboo...rolleyes.gif oh yeah, that's been done!

Look for the Building Materials Directory in academic bookstores, and let us know if you find Kee or equal, as they say in the biz...

Those ubiquitous PVC sun / rain tents that you see at most weddings and funerals are held together by fittings similar to those. A supplier of those tents might be able to help.

I have seen those fittings on some of the tent type outfits at a few of the local markets. You might also see if you can find them at one of the markets & have your lady ask where to get them. You sound like you know some Thai(more than me!) so you can ask to. What part of Thailand are you in- it may help in getting a solid response.
