Exporting Scooters To Eu

Featured Replies

I want to buy a few scooters in Thailand and ship it back to EU.

Are there any restrictions on Thai or EU side?

If not, where would be the best place to buy it in Bangkok? i want to buy new Honda or Yamaha, something not available in Europe...

A Guy i knew in Bangkok did that to Germany, the problem is not the export to the eu,the problem is to get al the papers in Europe to get them registrated!

The guy is selling honda clicks and airblades and i know it was a long and expensive way till he got all the papers needed(emmission tests etc...)

No problem to buy and export them from Thailand

But consider

Emission tests. They will pass, as thai emission requirements are very high, but you have to prove it by testing

Lights. In EU must be E approved, and not left side asymetric

footstand required to be auto engine stop when down in most EU markets

braketests and brakes must be E approved

Tyres. I believe tubed tyres are no longer allowed in EU, and they certanly must be E marked

Good luck :)

getting the scooters registered in europe will be a nightmare forget it . james hat yai sydney :D
